What information do we collect?
We do not collect your personal information such as a name or email address when you are visiting our website, unless you choose to provide it to us when contacting us via our contact form. We do, however, collect the non-personal aggregate information, such as
your IP address (a numerical code that looks like 123.12.3.12 that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you connect to the internet), and if possible, the domain name, as well as the type of browser and operating system that you use to access our website.
If you clicked on the link to the TestingAutos.com website from another website, we also collect the address of that referral website.
How do we use collected information
We use this non-personal aggregate information to know where the visitors to our website come from and what technology they use; this helps us adjust our website design and other features to serve you better. For example, if our visitors use a specific browser, such as Internet Explorer, we test our design with the same browser to make sure our pages render correctly.
However, we do not track or record the personal information about individuals and their visits.
If you contact us using our
Contact form, we might use the information you provide to respond to your question or suggestion. We do not share, sell or rent this information to anyone, unless, of course, this will be required by law. If you want us to delete the personal information that you provided us when contacting us using our contact form, please write the request using the contact form and we will remove it from our file. For privacy reasons, we don't offer subscriptions nor do we send regular newsletters.
Additional information for California residents
We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors interact with our website. We need that so we can improve our content to better help our readers. You can read
Google's security and privacy policies for Google Analytics. You can choose not to have your data used by Google Analytics by downloading their
opt-out browser add-on. We also use Ads on our website from Google Adsense. In order to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act, we restrict data for users who Google determines are from California. According to Google Adsense, Google will only show non-personalized ads to eligible users in California. If you have a question or concern about your policy, you may contact us by Phone:

Links to Third Parties
The TestingAutos.com web site has some links to other websites. When you click on such links, including ad banners and other links, you will be accessing third-party websites that TestingAutos.com does not control or operate. These sites may collect anonymous and personal information by various methods, including the use of cookies. Of course, the privacy policies of these web sites may not be the same as that of TestingAutos.com and may not afford visitors the same level of protection. Visitors should verify the privacy policies of these websites and their terms of use when accessing them prior to providing any anonymous or personal information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Cookies are small pieces of information that a Web site transfers to a visitor's computer for record-keeping purposes while at the site. The use of cookies is an industry standard and you'll find cookies at most major Web sites. For example, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to remember a user's behavior and it shares these insights with us. You can choose not to have your data used by Google Analytics by downloading their
opt-out browser add-on.
To support our website (it's not cheap to run a website), we use third party advertisements, such as Google Ads. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and/or web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing Canadian ads to someone in Canada, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites). Read more about
Google ads and data. This article also explains how you can control your experience with Google ads.
DART Cookies
We may also use DART cookies for ad serving through Google's DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests ('interest based targeting'). The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about visiting Las Vegas, you may see Las Vegas hotel advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses 'non-personally identifiable information'. It does NOT track your personal information. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting
Google ad and content network privacy policy.
Read this
article for more information about how Google uses your personal data from publisher sites like ours.
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites.
